The plan's public input survey is open and available to all Virginians through July 31, 2026. It takes approximately ten minutes to complete and requires no technical expertise. Responses based on lived experiences are exactly what we are looking for and will inform the development of the 2026 Virginia Energy Plan.

The offices of Virginia Secretary of Commerce and Trade Carrie Chenery, Virginia's Chief Energy Officer Josephus Allmond, and the Virginia Department of Energy will host a townhall meeting to inform the development of the 2026 Virginia Energy Plan.
This event is open to members of the public. Attendees will have an opportunity to share their views on energy opportunities, challenges, and priorities facing their communities directly with representatives from Governor Spanberger’s Administration.
