Leadership Training with Local Government Peers

Over 10,000 government leaders and counting have now participated in the Academy!  The GovExec Leadership Academy includes innovative, completely online programs created to equip frontline government professionals with practical leadership skills to deliver results for their organizations and communities. Each Academy course is built around interactivity and community, while retaining the convenience of self-paced learning. The programs are guided by expert moderators to help keep participants on track, and a world-class faculty of prominent public, private, and academic sector leadership deliver engaging and thought-provoking sessions.

High Performance Leadership Academy (12 weeks)

Next Dates:

August 5 -- November 8

September 16 -- December 20 

Provides best practices in leadership, organizational development, change management, negotiation and collaboration, and effective communication strategies. This program helps build leadership skills for any current or emerging leader in your organization.

Cybersecurity Leadership Academy (12 weeks)

Next Dates: August 5 -- November 8

Collaborative readiness program led by Fortune 500 CISOs and CIOs delivering insights on how to lead and secure a network and an organization -- protecting data assets and the enterprise brand. This program coaches participants on what it means to think and act as a cybersecurity leader. 

Leading in Analytics (8 weeks)

Next Dates: October 21 -- December 20

The program provides insights on how to harness data as an asset to leverage analytics in organizations: better directing projects, resources, and personnel.  

Leading on Purpose (8 weeks) 

Next Dates: October 21 – December 20 

In individualized exploration of meaning and impact as it applies to leadership in the workplace. Through self-assessments, interactive exercises, peer-group discussion, and self-reflection, participants learn to align motivation with decision-making skills to better assemble a unique sense of purpose and legacy. Ideal for those in senior roles hoping to level-up intentionality in leadership.
