Water Treatment Plant Licensed Class I Worker – The City of Radford is seeking a Water Plant Licensed Class I worker. The successful candidate will perform intermediate skilled work and have knowledge of day-to-day operations of a water treatment plant. Knowledge must include, but not limited to, inspection and repair of plant and equipment to ascertain that it is operating properly at all times; ability to perform and analyze chemical, organic and bacteriological tests, prepares reagents and standards and ability to clean and sterilize equipment. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by on-the-job and formal instruction in water treatment plant operations and extensive experience in the operation of a water plant. Class I Water Treatment Plant license is required. Special consideration may be given to a Class II licensed individual who intends to pursue a Class I.
