Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Wastewater Operations Supervisor, the WWTF Operator Trainee will perform specialized/technical work functions associated with wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
• High School diploma or GED; supplemented by one (1) year of experience in wastewater treatment plant operations or related field, preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
• Valid Virginia driver’s license, with the ability to meet and maintain Town insurability requirements with a minimum of two (2) years driving experience; obtain Class B Commercial driver’s license learner’s permit (within six (6) months of hire date)
• Must obtain Class IV or Class III Wastewater Operator License (within one (1) year of hire date), Flagging, and CPR certifications
