Utility Plant Technician: Trainee, Technician or Senior

Job Description:

Career Development Program
The Town’s Utilities Plant Maintenance Division offers a career development program. The purpose of this program is to recognize and compensate those individuals who have acquired additional or advanced work related knowledge, skills and abilities during their career with the Town’s Utilities Department. This program provides a career development plan based on an employee’s performance, training and length of service.

What You’ll Be Doing
This position involves basic, skilled mechanical work in the maintenance and repair of all electrical, mechanical, and structural equipment relative to the operation of the Town’s Water Filtration Facility and Water Pollution Control Facility and all associated facilities within the Town’s Department of Utilities. Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold and heat, noise, vibration and working in hazardous conditions (such as confined space and high voltage environments) in all types of weather conditions

Utility Plant Technician Trainee $50,000-$88,495 DOQ HS/GED; Minimum of (1) one year of experience

Utility Plant Technician $50,000-$88,071 DOQ HS/GED; Minimum (2) two to (3) three years of experience

Senior Utility Plant Technician $52,446-95,178 DOQ HS/GED; Minimum 5 (five) years of responsible experience
