An Overview
Provides overall coordination/direction on T&ES capital projects, including the planning, outreach, pre-design, and coordination with the Department of Project Implementation (DPI). The Program Manager coordinates with project managers across the Transportation Branch to provide guidance and advance multi-modal, smart mobility, transit and roadway projects toward implementation. The person in this position supports projects from inception through implementation, including developing scopes, schedules and budgets, identifying funding and supporting design and construction. The Program Manager collaborates closely with many other departments, as well as regional partners such as neighboring jurisdictions, VDOT, NVTA and NVTC. This person supports the Deputy Director and Director on the development of the budget and Capital Improvement Program (CIP), which includes $45 million in FY23 and $570 million in the 10-year plan. The position will report directly to the Deputy Director for Transportation.
