Systems Analyst II
The City of Chesapeake is seeking an experienced systems analyst to support several Citizen Engagement systems. This includes an enterprise implementation of Motorola Premier One Call Center software, Laserfiche document imaging system, Everbridge Emergency Management system and Granicus Digital Government software. This position will serve as team lead and will be responsible for managing staff and projects as well as providing technical services. The selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the system life-cycle. They will be required to engage in various customer facing tasks such as business process improvement, committee leadership, vendor relationships and project management. Additionally, this position requires the ability to supervise, evaluate and work with technical staff to develop and maintain effective solutions. Strong written and oral communications are crucial for this position.
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this job class requires a minimum of three years of full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards. As applicable, Information Technology based positions must meet requirements specified in Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) policy for access to the Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.
