What You’ll Be Doing
This position is responsible for senior-level professional work in the Town’s Department of Planning and Zoning, performing a variety of planning, analytical, and research duties related to the Department’s Preservation Division and Zoning Administration Division. The primary focus is reviewing Certificates of Appropriateness (COA) applications for consistency with historic district guidelines and other design and preservation standards, as well as reviewing land use applications for compliance with the Zoning Ordinance, historic district guidelines, Town Plan design objectives, and other planning documents. Work will vary as application load and other demands fluctuate in each supported division

Bachelor’s Degree in planning, historic preservation, architecture, architectural history, design, or a related field and three (3) years progressively responsible experience in zoning, planning, historic preservation, or development work or equivalent amount of education and experience; excellent communication and customer service skills; high degree of dependability.
