Scorekeeper (Part-Time)

Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor of Youth and Adult Athletic Programs, the Scorekeeper is responsible for arriving prior to scheduled events to prepare and clean facilities, keep score during sporting events (i.e. Adult Softball, Basketball, Wiffleball, Flag Football; Youth Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Football, Flag Football; Special Events – World Series, State tournaments, etc.).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Setting up tables, chairs and equipment as needed
• Assist in layout of markers on football fields
• Retrieve game balls and first aid kits
• Prepare scoreboards and scorebooks for games; maintain accuracy during games
• Dust mop basketball courts as needed
• Set-up/break-down before/after scheduled events
• Clean-up after scheduled events
• Assist Building or Facility Supervisor as needed
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Knowledge and understanding of a variety of different sports, preferred
• Must be reliable/dependable
• Ability to maintain professional and courteous relationships with internal and external customers, vendors and staff
• Must have reliable transportation
• Minimum age limit, 16 (sixteen)
