What You’ll Be Doing
This is an advanced professional-level position within the Town Manager’s Office and works independently under the general supervision of the Town Manager to perform sophisticated and complex administrative, technical, and analytical work in managing the Town’s external and internal Communications and Legislative programs. This position includes the responsibility for planning, organizing, and supervising the work of staff resources and managing the division’s budget.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication or Marketing, or closely related area; supplemented by at least five (5) years of experience in local government, public relations, media, marketing, journalism; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; several years of professional experience in the development and dissemination of information to the public through various outlets; publications, broadcasting, internet webpages, social media or public speaking; possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
