Project Manager-Stormwater Engineering
Develops designs for various types of flood control and water quality improvement projects with City stormwater engineering staff or engineering consultants. Provides administrative control such as budgetary and scheduling, and quality control/quality assurance for all types and complexities of stormwater studies and projects.
Overseeing the City’s Master Drainage Plan, complex hydrology and hydraulic modeling and analysis of watershed areas, development and execution of watershed implementation plans in the areas of stormwater quality/TMDL requirements, and flood control to ensure adequate citywide stormwater system.
Administering contracts to ensure compliance with specifications and all applicable standards, schedules, and conducts stormwater training in areas related to stormwater engineering issues; Handles all project correspondence and coordinates activities with internal and external agencies.
Working with contractors, consultant engineers and/or staff engineers, providing constructability, measurement and payment reviews of project progress submittals.
Monitoring project schedule and project budget.
Preparing monthly status reports.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or closely related field.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards.
Requires a Professional Engineer License.
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this position requires a minimum of six years of relevant, full-time equivalent experience.
