The Office of the County Administrator is seeking a motivated, team-oriented problem solver to play a key role in community development projects – particularly land use, economic development, housing, building and development – and strategic planning. The Office of the County Administrator is a fast-paced environment that handles a wide variety of organizational and community issues.
Key responsibilities of this position include researching, writing and editing agenda items for the Board of Supervisors, managing cross-departmental projects in the community development area and coordinating reporting details of the Board of Supervisors’ strategic plan. The ideal candidate should have strong project management skills, including the ability to effectively communicate, track progress, work with senior-level staff and meet deadlines. Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess excellent research, communication – both verbal and written, and editing skills.
Hiring Range: $73,883.01-$101,589.13 / Salary Commensurate with Experience
Job Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Planning or related field and three (3) years of experience in government administration, project management, land use, economic development or related programs and operations. Specific experience with project management in local government organizations, building and development, land use, and strategic planning is preferred.
