Program Supervisor – Community Attention Foster Families

Job Description:

The Community Attention Foster Families (CAFF) Program Supervisor position in the Department of Human Services performs difficult professional and responsible administrative work supervising and coordinating services for youth involved with foster care and their families; Provides direct oversight and management of foster care related policies and processes; Responsible for program advocacy on agency, community and state levels. Actively participates and assumes a leadership role in team based organizational development, focused on outcomes; does related work as required. This position is strategic to fulfilling our vision by ensuring the provision of high quality services focused on equity and youth resilience and well-being. Primarily and most frequently the work done here is performed as leader or director with broad functional areas and more expertise and strategic focus. Reports to the Deputy Director of Human Services.

The hiring salary will be between $58,848.55 and $70,613.93 annually. Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. This is a full-time, exempt, position. The position also provides excellent benefits including 13 paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance options with employer contribution, employer-paid life insurance, City’s retirement options, and continuing education/training opportunities.

Minimum Requirements:
– Minimally requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work or a related field.
– Minimum of five (5) years related professional experience in counseling and treating adolescents, including some administrative experience.
– Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications:
– Preference for a Master’s Degree in psychology, social work or a related field.
