Police Officer

Job Description:

Warsaw Police Officer

The Town of Warsaw is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Current DCJS law enforcement certification are required. Salary is competitive and dependent upon qualifications and experience. This position is full-time with an excellent benefits package that includes health, vision and dental insurance, and inclusion into the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).
The position involves enforcing the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the town’s ordinances. Duties include patrolling areas of the town, apprehending offenders, enforcing traffic laws, responding to calls for service and complaints from citizens, conducting accident and criminal investigations, interviewing suspects and witnesses, writing reports, and providing credible testimony in court.

Employment Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Be of character and reputation to pass an extensive background check
Must pass drug test

Compensation:
Position Type: Full Time
Benefits: Full Benefits (100% Health Insurance Coverage, VRS Retirement, PTO, Take Home Vehicle)
Starting Salary: $39,000 – $45,000 DOQ/DOE
