What You’ll Be Doing
This position involves responsible skilled and semiskilled maintenance work in the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects- Streets Division, that can include performing maintenance and repair activities on Town streets, parks and grounds. Work includes working outdoors in all types of weather conditions, asphalt repairs, spreading gravel, stone or other construction materials, cleaning and assisting in repairing gutters, catch basins, storm drains and drainage ditches, flagging traffic, cutting and chipping brush, mowing, operating weed eaters, raking leaves, roadside trash pick-up, snow removal operations and assisting with special community events.
