*As of the initial date of this posting on the City’s website, the City is seeking to fill two part-time Logistics Technician positions.*
As a Logistics Technician, you’ll perform both administrative and technical work related to managing and overseeing the Fire Department’s inventory, including but not limited to uniforms, apparel, radios, protective equipment, apparatus parts, and station supplies. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for tracking the supply of inventory, making orders through third-party vendors, maintaining software systems, and ensuring supplies, materials, and parts are available when needed or as directed. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to communicate with divisions, stations, and vendors through a variety of means, such as phone calls, emails, and other methods.
– High school diploma or GED and considerable (3-5 years) experience in fire and rescue industry services. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement.
– Possession of a valid driver’s license.
