What You’ll Be Doing
This is responsible technical and analytical professional work in regard to real property acquisition for public purposes. Work involves the centralization of land acquisition efforts within the Town Attorney’s Office including, but not limited to, easements, right-of-way acquisition, agreements, condemnation, and permits over lands, etc. Work is coordinated closely with engineering staff of the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects, Department of Utilities, Department of Plan Review, title search companies, and appraisers.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum of four (4) years of experience in real property negotiation and acquisition; experience negotiating land acquisition on behalf of public utilities; possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
