IT Business Analyst II – Public Safety
Job Description:
The City of Virginia Beach is currently recruiting for a Business Analyst II on our Public Safety Team. The Business Analyst will work on multiple items simultaneously to include work intake, simple projects and complex projects for multiple departments within the community of interest (COI). The selected candidate will work within the Public Safety Solutions Team for the public safety COI that includes Police, Emergency Citizen Services and Communications, Fire, Emergency Medical Services, the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office, the Office of Emergency Management, the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, and the Courts:
Gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain business requirements for various projects and work items from initial intake phase to final implementation, assuring requirements meet standards.
Manage the work intake COI’s work intake process for all incoming requests.
Evaluated existing applications and survey additional COTS applications available to meet the business needs.
Assist in the management of project budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
Manage and complete the work intake process from customer request through approval.
Document work intake and/or project artifacts for work items.
