Information Security Analyst IV
Job Description:
Fauquier County, Virginia, Information Technology Department is seeking an enthusiastic, professional individual to join our team.
Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, telecommunications or Cybersecurity; plus six years of information security systems experience, including Cybersecurity.
This team member will help develop, implement, and ensure compliance of policies to protect the organization’s sensitive and mission-critical data from being inappropriately accessed or used. Experience in executing and completing internal audits ensuring virus protection, endpoint protection and security policies are in effect. Experience with executing simulated attacks to assess and measure the organizations awareness and possible lack of security measures; following up with remediation steps to include performing additional training where needed.
Must be able to review security advisory’s such as those generated from federal, state, local and other intelligence agencies and determine the risk and impact of the threat(s) to the organization; working closely with relevant I.T. team members and/or entities to ensure recommended remediation steps have been taken.
Excellent hands-on technical skills, in a complex network environment are critical so that discernment and measures can be taken to prevent data security attacks both internally and from Cyber criminals. As a lead, must have experience in creation, execution and participation with computer security incident response plan and disaster recovery procedures.
