We are seeking an HVAC Apprentice who will assist an HVAC Technician in performing maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, gas and electric heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, hot water heaters, economizers, humidifiers, capacity controls, semi-hermetic compressors, package systems, split systems, flame safeguards, air compressors, air driers, vacuum systems.
Requirements: Graduation from high school or GED with 2-year combination of education and training and 2-year experience working with refrigeration equipment providing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to commercial/industrial equipment. Understanding in the following specialized subject areas is required: heating and air conditioning theory, electric controls, AC/DC voltage, analogue and digital electronics, and the operation and maintenance of all aspects of the commercial/industrial HVAC trade. Must be willing to enroll in and complete 4-year HVAC Apprenticeship program.
Special Requirements: If selected for employment all new hires must be willing to get vaccinated or provide proof of vaccination for Covid-19 prior to their start date.
