What You’ll Be Doing
This is skilled work, which involves maintaining the operating capacity and aesthetic appearance of all parks and open spaces throughout the Town of Leesburg, including downtown beautification duties. Responsibilities include a variety of tasks in the maintenance and care of parks, athletic fields, trails, landscape beds, playgrounds and public lands, and operating power and automotive equipment in the performance of required work tasks. Position will work Sunday-Thursday.
Minimum Qualifications
HS/GED; minimum 18 years of age; minimum two (2) years of experience in horticultural and/or grounds maintenance; ability to operate mechanized maintenance equipment and vehicles; possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; Pesticide Applicators certification, or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire; CPR and First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
