Front Line Transit Supervisor (Night Shift)

If so, consider the City of Harrisonburg Public Transportation Department’s Front Line Transit Supervisor (Night Shift) position!
As the Front Line Transit Supervisor on the night shift, you’ll perform a variety of technical duties, including but not limited to supervising bus operators, providing assistance in the operation of the Transit division, planning and scheduling transportation services, assisting the Transit Superintendent, and operating a transit and paratransit bus as needed. You’re the ideal candidate for this position if you possess leadership skills and understand the importance of promoting teamwork and safety in all aspects of transit operations.

– High school diploma or GED and moderate (1-3 years) experience operating buses and in customer service. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement.
– Valid driver’s license. Possession of a Commercial Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment is required.
– Availability to work Tuesdays through Saturdays from 3:00pm – 12:00am (midnight) and additional days/hours as required.
