Job Description:
Fauquier County, Virginia is seeking an experienced leader for the position of Fire and Rescue Systems Chief. Reporting to County Administration, this position serves as Chief Executive Officer in the Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management. Ideal candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain relationships within the career and volunteer System structure, interact with County Officials and employees, as well as the general public. This position directs and coordinates the work of the two major divisions of the System, Operations and Administration, to include policy development, review, and implementation in addition to staffing, training, budgeting and all other administrative matters for a variety of emergency prevention; fire and injury prevention measures; pre-hospital emergency medical, fire, and rescue emergencies for the development and improvement of services.
