The City of Chesapeake Public Works Department, Facility Maintenance Division is currently accepting applications for one (1) full-time Facility Maintenance Technician I position.

Chesapeake Public Works is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to maintain and repair building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, locks, lighting, alarm systems, etc. in all City facilities;
Job Description:
Perform maintenance and repair on various types of building equipment; to include HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, alarm systems, door lock/key systems, lighting, etc. This may include overseeing contractor work and providing quality insurance inspection of such work.
Perform various types of normal structural maintenance and some minor construction in a helper role; repair shingle and built-up roofing systems in a helper role;
Maintain necessary city records and purchase materials.
