Facilities Development Manager
Job Description:

This position performs professional work leading the Facilities Development Division which is responsible for the successful implementation of the City’s capital projects for a building portfolio consisting of government, school, and jointly-owned facilities. Facilities capital projects including small to medium improvements, major renovations, and new construction with substantial cost, scope, and complexity. Effective communication, coordination, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, government agencies, consultants, vendors, and community members is a vital component of the work. Primarily and most frequently the work is performed as leader or director with broad functional areas and more expertise and strategic focus. Responsible for the supervision of a project management team. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Public Works Director.
The starting hiring salary will be between $70,012.80 to $115,918.40 annually. Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. Minimum Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for a related field of construction management, architecture, or engineering.
– Minimum of five (5) years’ direct work experience in management of capital construction projects.
– Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia by employment start date and must be eligible to operate a City vehicle.
