The Town of Purcellville has an immediate opening for an Events Specialist. This position is available in the Parks & Recreation Division and reports to the Parks & Recreation Division Manager. The Events Specialist is a highly-visible role and key asset in planning and organizing the successful special events held by the Town such as the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival, the Purcellville Wine and Food Festival, holiday parades and activities, and ceremonies. The Events Specialist will also help establish new events, activities, and programs to be held on a regular basis; help establish virtual activities and features; and coordinate reservations for the Purcellville Train Station and the Pavilion in Dillon’s Woods.
Desired qualifications include an Associate’s degree in the field of Recreation or Events Planning plus four years of relevant work experience. Experience in local government or nonprofit community relations is desired. Must be willing to work varying hours and Holidays.
Hiring range is $49,994.54 – $57,493.72, DOQ
