Equipment Maintenance/Traffic Superintendent
The City of Staunton is seeking a collaborative and innovative leader who performs professional and technical work managing the daily operations of the Public Works Equipment Maintenance, Traffic Engineering, and Traffic Signals Divisions as well as parking. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of City infrastructure and equipment to include but not limited to signs, traffic signals, parking equipment, and all mechanized equipment to include rolling stock. Assists the Director of Public Works in the development of long-range plans, programs and objectives in support of traffic engineering, traffic signals and fleet equipment. Ensures compliance with all state and federal environmental regulations/laws.
High School diploma and any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college or technical trade school and/or related fields. Must have experience in supervision, with strong leadership and management skills.
Salary Range: $54,105 to $83,822
Start Date: Mid to late May 2021
