The Engineering Manager – Construction is a full-time, exempt position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $33.69 – $38.74 per hour (equivalent to $70,075 – $80,579 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. The ideal candidate for this position will perform complex professional engineering duties and will be responsible for administrative and managerial functions in overseeing the development of infrastructure projects, construction management and the Construction Management Team, including projects within the Public Works and Public Utilities Department as well as the City of Harrisonburg.
Minimum Requirements:
– Undergraduate degree with coursework in civil engineering, construction management or related field and considerable experience in transportation, stormwater management and public utilities construction in a supervisory or leadership position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
– Valid driver’s license;
– Professional Engineer (PE) License in the Commonwealth of Virginia or the ability to obtain a PE License in the Commonwealth of Virginia within 60 days of hire date.
– Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required.
