Manages small to medium sized maintenance, repair and improvement projects to include roof replacements,
pavement and sidewalk repair and replacement, generator and HVAC replacements, security improvements, etc., at City facilities. Works with consultants, Architecture/Engineering firms, and code officials to produce engineering studies and designs for a variety of facility projects. Works with City customers to design and construct renovations in City facilities. Works
with Purchasing to develop/update specifications for IDIQ maintenance contracts (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: None. SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with City Driving Standards. Depending on position, State and/or City certification(s) may be required. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
