ELECTRICAL SPECIALIST- Waterworks

Job Description:

Are you looking to utilize all of your electrical and technical skills within one position? Do you enjoy working on a variety of projects? Well, this may be the position for you! The Waterworks department is looking for an Electrical Specialist to perform complex skilled and technical work in the repair, maintenance and installation of electrical system, lines, fixtures and equipment. At the Specialist level, you’ll be expected to train and provide guidance, direction, and instruction in electrical systems, and assist with recruiting and selection activities! Day to day, you could be performing a variety of tasks like trouble shooting, performing preventative maintenance, or repairing uninterruptible power and battery supply systems, and electrical lighting circuit breakers, panel boxes, and other electrical components.

You will also use your knowledge and skills to assist in designing, planning, and estimating the cost of various electrical projects for the department facilities. In addition to making recommendation on repairs and upgrades, you will also serve as the point of contact for vendors and contractors to coordinate delivery of parts and supplies, and any contracted work. Some administrative work will be required like maintaining work order records, maintaining activity logs, and inventory of spare parts initiating ordering of replacement supplies and equipment, and maintaining inventory.
