The Charlottesville-UVA-Albemarle County Emergency Communications Center (ECC) is actively recruiting an ECC Systems Manager to join our team. The successful ECC Systems Manager will serve dual roles as manager of the information technology (IT) division within the ECC while providing day-to-day technical systems engineering and support. Manages, plans, and prioritizes information technology (IT) staff, programs, and activities. Manages regional systems projects including multidiscipline and multijurisdictional project teams. Functions as the ECC’s information security manager, network manager, and leads the planning and research team. Coordinates applications development, design and high-level technical support for systems, emergency telecommunications, public safety radio, LAN, WAN, and other platforms, internal and external mission critical communication networks, hardware and software evaluations, installation, maintenance projects and tuning for the ECC systems. Performs quality control checks and guidance for the implementation of these systems with ECC and partner agencies’ IT staff.
