DSS Division Director for Operations and Training
Reporting to the DSS Director, the newly created Division Director of Operations and Training position will serve as the single principal assistant to the Social Services Director, acting in his place when absent. The Division Director must be skilled at oversight of program units through first-line program supervisors that include both operational and administrative areas. A successful track record of project management, assisting with budget development; coordinating audits and audit narratives,
supervising and implementing an efficient delivery system for the provision of competency-based skills, policy development, revision, and interpretation, professional development training for staff and community partners are key responsibilities of this position.
The new Division Director will carry out several key priorities including
creating increased access to excellent staff training especially around new State and Federal initiatives;
monitoring service delivery and fostering a climate of excellent community customer service;
developing a climate of employee engagement to increase retention and renewal of passion for mission-critical services;
reviewing, evaluating, advocating for needed revisions, and ensuring compliance with Human Resource and Personnel policies and procedures;
reviewing and managing policy compliance for Benefit and Services programs; and,
evaluating and enhancing technology to ensure effective service delivery.
