Director of Information Technology

Job Description:

The Town is seeking a Director of Information Technology to oversee all technology operations for the Town. The Information Technology Department supports all departments through systems, equipment and project management.

The hiring range for this position is dependent upon experience and qualifications. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
-Create and maintain budget for technology equipment, projects, contracts and expenditures.
-Work directly with information technology staff for direction and deployment of systems.
-Provide direct technical support to all departments.
-Analyze complex business needs presented by the Town and/or clients and recommend technical solutions.
-Ensure the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
-Produce detailed time line for each application release and implement effective project control by monitoring the progress of the software release and reporting the status.
-Review all designs, code, and unit test plans where applicable.
-Deployment and management of mobile phone and data systems.

Experience Required: Ten (10) years of experience in IT preferred
Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
