Director of Center Operations
The Town of Chincoteague is accepting applications for a highly motivated, experienced full-time Civic Center Director. The essential function of the position is to plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the Chincoteague Civic Center. The position works under the direct supervision of the Town Manager.
Other duties include;
Prepare and manage Center budgets;
Schedule and coordinate Center events;
Promote the Center at local and regional events;
Provide marketing expertise to promote the Center as a venue;
Meet with potential clients;
Provide technical and administrative support as required;
Manage assigned personnel;
Attend committee and council meetings as required.
Candidates must have excellent communication and organizational skills, an outgoing personality, be self-motivated, and have ability to work in a team environment. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Hospitality or a closely related field, or comparable work experience. It also requires a valid Virginia driver’s license.
