Community Paramedic (Full-Time)
The City of Harrisonburg Fire Department is launching an inaugural program and is seeking to fill two (2) full-time Community Paramedic positions funded through a grant provided by the Department of Justice. The Community Paramedic role is a full-time position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $22.21 – $25.54 per hour (equivalent to $46,196 – $53,123 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and in compliance with City Policy Section 3: Compensation. These positions are eligible for the VRS Enhanced Hazardous Duty coverage.
