Job Description
The Town of Warsaw (population 2,281), located an hour from Richmond in Virginia’s historic Northern Neck Region, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Class II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. This position will serve under the direct supervision of the Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager. The potential employee will perform a wide array of functions within the department, ranging from large-scale tasks to daily reports and operations. The Warsaw Wastewater Treatment Plant is a modern, 300,000+ gallon facility that also contracts with an outside engineering firm for both employee and DEQ support services.
This position is full-time with an excellent benefits package that includes health, vision and dental insurance at no cost to the employee, paid time off and holiday pay, and inclusion into the Virginia Retirement System (VRS). The employee will also receive a take-home vehicle, cell phone, and occasional overtime compensation.
Salary Range: Highly Competitive, DOQ/DOE
Employment Requirements
• Certified Class II Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator.
• Possession of valid VA Motor Vehicle License.
• Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required, as needed.
• Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and requirements within the field.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
• Ability to work independently and maintain ethical and professional relationships with coworkers, leadership, and outside organizations.
• Knowledge of all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
