Civil Engineer I – Transportation

Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of a Civil Engineer II or as directed, the Civil Engineer I will assist with coordinating water, wastewater, stormwater and/or transportation projects and review subdivision, land development, and capital improvement project plans to ensure prepared plans comply with codes, ordinances, professional standards, best practices, and applicable regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
• Valid Virginia driver’s license with the ability to meet and maintain Town insurability requirements and a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience
• Possess and maintain certification as an Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or obtain within one (1) year of hire date
