Chief Filter Plant Operator
Job Description:
The Town of Pulaski is accepting applications for the position of Chief Filter Plant Operator. The Chief Filter Plant Operator reports to the Town Engineer, and this non-exempt, full-time position is responsible for the entire water treatment process, maintaining the proper functioning of all equipment, and performing any related tasks so as to ensure the distribution of clean safe water to the general public, related work as apparent or assigned, and supervises the Filter Plant staff.
To be considered, the candidate must have an Associates/Technical degree with coursework in water treatment, general chemistry and biology (or related field preferred), and considerable experience in water treatment plant operations, water labs, maintenance, and management and compliance with State and National regulatory agency requirements, and must hold a Waterworks Operator License, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The salary range for this position is $47,032 – $72,051. The Town of Pulaski participates in the Virginia Retirement System, and provides an excellent benefits package. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The Town of Pulaski is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
