Building Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description:

DUTIES:
The Building Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervision, technical and administrative work related to division management and maintenance of mechanical systems, facilities, and generators. Responsible for the inspection, security, maintenance, repair and operation of HVAC, life safety, environmental, electrical, plumbing, structural and other related systems. Performs project management for replacement and/or repair of building mechanical systems and renovation of facilities. Supervises work of subordinates and contractors in duties required to maintain buildings. Writes specifications, recommends selections, reviews contractor performance, and manages projects. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School diploma or GED
• Six years of experience at the journeyman level of a trade, including two years supervising the activities of other skilled trades workers or an Associate’s Degree in Building Maintenance Applied Technology or related field and two years supervising the activities of skilled trades workers.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• On-Call Maintenance Team participation, which requires employee to live within 60 miles of City Hall.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Journeyman license in a relevant Trade (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, etc.) issued by State of Maryland (DLLR).

Salary: $62,500 – $72,500
