The Assistant Director for Electric is responsible for directing and managing the Electric Utility Division of the Utilities Department, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures and law, and performing supervisory, administrative and professional engineering work to support the daily operation of the electric utility.
The hiring range for this position is: $88,524.80 – $117,249.60 depending on education, experience, and qualifications.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Seven years’ experience in public utility planning, operations and/or service
Five years of progressively responsible supervisory experience
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for this position may be considered.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Must possess state certification as a Virginia Registered Professional Engineer.
Must possess and maintain a valid Virginia driver’s license.
Must hold all required licenses and certifications.
