Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney
Job Description:
The County of Prince George Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is seeking an attorney for general prosecution duties. Position is responsible for prosecuting criminal and traffic related cases in all Prince George Courts. Starting salary range will be between $69,842 – $111,747 DOQ
Successful candidate must possess the following:
Licensed to practice law in Virginia
Comprehensive knowledge of laws governing criminal practice and procedure
Ability to write legal briefs and perform legal research
Independently prepare cases for trial and litigate those cases in court
Strong organizational, computer and communication skills
Ability to advise law enforcement during and outside of office hours
Must exhibit steadfast commitment to fairness and public service
Pre-employment physical/drug testing and criminal background check, to include fingerprinting, required.
