What You’ll Be Doing
This position assists the Airport Director in the daily operations of the Leesburg Executive Airport which includes performing various managerial and technical tasks needed for safe and efficient airport operations. This is a working manager position that requires technical aviation knowledge and supervisory experience. This position leads and assists Airport maintenance staff to ensure prompt response to airport operational and tenant needs; is a member of the airport’s snow team and operates snowplow equipment, tractors, and other mechanical equipment; ensures safe airport operations by communicating with stakeholders conducting airfield self-inspections; manages maintenance work orders; develops safety and security procedures; responds to emergencies; and other assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
HS/GED and a minimum of six (6) years’ experience in airport operations or aviation-related field; must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions and be “on-call” for emergency and/or afterhours operations; possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; certification of CPR/AED and First Aid or ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment.
