Job Description:
Albemarle County is seeking an experienced accountant to support complex accounting functions in the Department of Finance and Budget. This position performs professional accounting work in the review, maintenance and preparation of financial records. The County offers a robust benefits package including tuition reimbursement and membership in the Virginia Retirement System. This position is telework eligible per the County’s Remote Work Policy. Albemarle County employees must maintain residency in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of accounting experience involving the maintenance of complex accounting, financial, or statistical records required; alternate combinations of education and experience may be considered.
