Opioid Settlement Forms of Resolution to be completed by March 1, 2023 now available
A formal communication from the National Opioids Settlements Implementation Administrator went out by email on Friday (Feb. 17) to all Virginia cities and counties and a relatively few sizeable towns. The OAG has also been in touch directly via email with non-litigating cities and counties and the relatively few sizeable towns, school districts and hospital authorities whose participation is needed. Litigating cities and counties have been informed and counselled by their private outside counsel.
As with the previous round of settlements, participation by all these subdivisions is needed to maximize Virginia’s recovery under these settlements. The deadline is April 18, 2023, but the goal to get the forms completed by March 1, 2023.
