      COVIDWISE allows you to anonymously notify others if you test positive for COVID-19, it notifies you if you’ve likely been exposed to the virus based on positive reports from other app users, and helps you understand the steps you should take to protect yourself and others.

      The VOSH Program requests the Safety and Health Codes Board adopt an Emergency Temporary Standard/Emergency Regulation, Infectious Disease Prevention, SARS-CoV-2 Virus That Causes COVID-19, §16 VAC 25-220, applicable to every employer, employee, and place of employment in the Commonwealth of Virginia within the jurisdiction of the VOSH program.

      Establishes requirements for employers to control, prevent, and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 to and among employees and employers.
    • City of Virginia Beach: Sports Tournament Guidelines – COVID-19 Phase III (July 10)

      Includes information for businesses, recreation facilities, social gatherings, places of worship, workplaces, entering into Phase Three, and more.

    • VDEM/FEMA: Disaster Grants – Overview of Public Assistance Program (website)
      • Provides general information, steps for getting started, due dates, contacts, and links to resources and training.
    • Guidelines for First Responders:
      COVID-19 present additional risks to first responders. Knowledge of potential exposure to COVID-19 prior to responding to a 911 call allows responders to take respiratory protection precautions to minimize risk. The following are examples of actions localties are taking to protect their first responders will ahdering to state laws related to protected health information (PHI).

    • VDEM: Continuity of Operations Plan – The Virginia Department of Emergency Management has offered a Continuity of Operation Plan (COOP) worksheet for those localities that have not yet created a COOP. You can download the worksheet here >
      • Note: A COOP is not required under the Code but is strongly advised; the Code of Virginia addresses these plans in Sec. 44-146.18 B.6.
