Publications

VML distributes timely information and news to its members through publication of the monthly Virginia Town & City magazine, the biweekly Update newsletter and the Legislative Bulletin while the General Assembly is in session. The league also provides research and technical assistance in the form of published reports and responses to questions on local, state and federal government. The league publishes a series of research booklets to assist local government officials in serving the needs of their communities. The Local Officials' Resource Series is available to league members.

The guidebook, developed by the Northern Virginia Public Service Fellows at George Mason University, is distributed to elected officials, managers, and clerks in VML-member localities.
